It is so scary that such bad people exist and how good overcomes evil! It was such a motivating movie and real life event!!! The Batsheva Dance Company's interpretive dance is intercut throughout the film's focus on the hostage taking and the raid, and to me, that felt intentional. Humans can communicate without words. We can use dance, or other peaceful forms, even when spoken words fail. Or we can use violence. The end on screen cards further leads me to think this was intentional as they track how bad talks are in that region. See more T S @RT18828667 06/22/2024 The beginning was good, the acting was performed well, but the final scene was so bad like everything was patched up and packed together in a corner, and the scenes of those dancers mixed up with the final rescue scene spoiled it all. See more Jack L @RT41105001 10/22/2023 The decision to tell this story squarely from the terrorists' perspective unfortunately robs this film of any tension it may otherwise have had. Establishing the hijackers as decent and soft, the audience is immediately reassured that none of the hijackers are going to get killed. To make matters worse, the hostages are relegated to anonymous extras, they're never given identities or personalities, making it hard as a viewer to truly invest in them and care about their plight. The result is a painfully dull experience. The real life story is a feat of planning, yet the film skirts around the operational planning and depicts the Israeli high command as bland and unlikeable. Even when the actual raid gets underway, the action is interrupted by a bizarre decision to hand a significant amount of screen time over an otherwise irrelevant dancer amd her theatre performance. Why on earth the writers didnt give her substantial screen time to one of the hostages I have no idea. Only two Israeli soldiers are anything more than extras and neither are particularly fleshed out. Overrall, a disappointingly missed opportunity that doesnt even get all the facts right.
