Don Henderson (Greg Kinnear), a marketing executive for a national burger chain must leave blissful ignorance behind when his boss gives him an unsavory assignment: Investigate scientific findings that cow manure is contaminating the meat used in the company's top-selling hamburger. It's about empty calories and empty life - ridiculous insistences that all kids see playing time regardless of on-field performance, the absurdity of porn as background noise, that revolution can start in rec rooms and the woozy lure of neon strip malls. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

En effet, on retrouve ici le calme et la douceur de la mise en scène de ses films précédents, un peu à l'image de son approche du film d'action avec The Newton Boys. 3 histoires s'entremêlent avec virtuosité, aussi fortes les unes que les autres avec quelques moments de bravoure comme le final dans l'abattoir ou l'apparition d'un Bruce Willis qui n'a jamais été aussi inquiétant. Parfois, le manque de pugnacité peut sembler être un renoncement et fait perdre un peu de force à quelques séquences mais dans l'ensemble, l'angle choisi par Linklater fait de Fast Food Nation un film extrêmement intéressant. The story had potential but there was nothing happening for 90 % of the movie and when something happened it feels ok but than more boring stuff.
