Divers Sam and Jared love life in the Bahamas. But when friends Bryce and Amanda visit, the couple take them on a treasure-hunting trip, where they discover more than they bargained for, a downed airplane full of cocaine alongside a famous shipwreck. Unknown to Sam and Jared, Bryce makes a fatal mistake and decides to sell the cocaine, which angers a group of drug dealers, who are in hot pursuit of the divers.

Chris L @Christoph2000 Mar 8 Hollow and completely lacking in energy, pretty much all the credit for this Bahamian-set action flick should go to cinematographer Shane Hurlbut, for almost all the underwater shots are an absolute feast for the eyes. It has nothing else to match, and it's no wonder both that Into the Blue has largely flown under the radar ever since and that Josh Brolin's career was stuck in the mud until No Country for Old Men if this is the kind of tripe he was making. James Frain proves for the zillionth time that us Brits make particularly menacing villains, but he's out of the picture after a single scene, which can't help but feel like a waste. Then again, this whole picture largely is.
