Nicholas B @RT68283666 Sep 28 I have seen all of the critics complaining about this or that in the movie, but the bottom line is this: it's a fun movie and a great watch. It's amusing to pick out all of the various cameos of other stars (and directors), but Jeff Goldblum is always fun to watch, and Michelle Pfieffer, as always, lights up the screen. Director John Landis doesn't make bad movies; he knows what he's doing here. While it isn't high art, it's a nice time, with characters you won't forget. See more Iman R @irod78 10/17/2023 If you're Iranian American it's worth watching for the one scene where the bad Iranian guys are sitting on a couch eating pistachios and breaking gaz(Iranian nougat) with the butt of a gun...and that the director John Landis happens to be one of them. Otherwise a an awkwardly paced, surprisingly boring (despite lots of car chases) movie with sub par performances from otherwise good actors especially Goldblum who seemed to sleep through it (though to be fair his character was supposed to be half asleep).
