DiLorenzo and crew should be commended for crafting a smaller feature that, with a bit more polish, could easily be fleshed out into a provocative big-budget drama. Go to Full Review

There's a witty idea at the centre of this low-budget drama, which uses the language of cinema itself to add refreshing twists to the audience's perception of what's happening on-screen. Go to Full Review

While its treatment of the theme of illusion versus reality is hardly profound, it allows DiLorenzo to indulge in some engaging if silly narrative sleight-of-hand. Go to Full Review

08/11/2022 An intelligently made, appropriately unnerving film. Love to see indies like this with premises you wouldn't necessarily find in the mainstream. It feels novel and fresh, with excellent performances. Kudos to director Brian DiLorenzo. Recommend. See more catherane s 07/15/2022 A wonderful take on being subservient to a professed Idol, thereby giving one's power away due to lack of self-awareness and of belief in oneself. Though a little slow at times, I liked the script and how the film cleverly plays out. Impressed with the lighting and direction. A big plus, the lead actors were very good, especially Justin Andrew Davis, playing Alex, who gives an impressive and nuanced performance. See more Susan B 06/22/2022 This indie really surprised me. Compelling, creepy story with good acting and a director who was able to pull off the thrills and, believe it or not, the comedy. It's dark comedy, mind you, but it works. Plenty of great stuff here. Glad I took a chance on it. See more 02/16/2021 I was blown away by this film! Even more blown away when I found out it was a directorial debut. This is truly masterful cinema- when we hear the phrase "this is why we go to the movies" it's usually in reference to a summer blockbuster or an Oscar-bait melodrama, but this kind of film is why I go to the movies. Weird, wonderful, surreal yet clearly influenced by the ultra-realism of Dogme95, with a highly skillful small cast, this film drags you in and begs you to be a participant rather than a spectator. The story is more layered than at first expected, so it definitely deserves a second viewing to get the whole experience. I got hints of Broken Flowers, Synecdoche New York, and Mandy; and the score was outstanding as well. I don't think I've encountered a more fitting soundtrack for a film since Harold and Maude. If you're a true film fan, or fan of any kind of art really, give it a chance. Can't wait to see what else the director has in store. See more 10/23/2020 I was blown away by this film! See more 09/14/2020 MYTH is a fantastic, fun thriller about a young man (Justin Andrew Davis) who meets his favorite director (Nicholas Tucci). The characters seem like someone you know or have met. The tone of the film reflects the eery, charming landscape of a secluded, suburban town. MYTH manages to deconstruct and question the ethics of using subjects in documentaries without their consent.
