From critically acclaimed writer-director Andrew de Burgh ("The Bestowal") comes a deeply twisted and sadistic horror story. In Los Angeles, struggling couple Sarah Lallana (Bella Glanville, "After the Hunt") and Jack Gerrard (Xander Bailey, "Misfortune") are visited by a demonic succubus (Sydney Culbertson, "American Underdog") who deviously manipulates them into turning against each other. After getting a thrill from breaking them down, she summons Satan (Mark Pontarelli, "Trust in Love") who grants her powers of being able to turn into the human version of herself at will. She sets out on a mission to torment the human race with her first stop being a trance club where she meets tech bro Steve Urden (Riley Nottingham, "V/H/S Halloween") and film producer Brad Henriksen (Bruce Clifford, "Wild West Chronicles"). During the course of the film, she also crosses paths with her mysterious neighbors Yagami Minamino (Akihiro Kitamura, "The Human Centipede"), Tamara Minamino (Amelia Gotham, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild") and Saori Minamino (Haruka Igarashi, "Shogun") who invite her over for dinner one fateful evening. Also tracking her is a corrupt detective (Dallas Schaefer, "Daisy Jones & The Six").

... when it doesn’t use any tricks beyond the in-camera variety, there’s some cleverness to the violence that implies intention and creative thoughtfulness, even down to the shadow play that introduces the succubus through its clever simplicity.

I see what we were going for here and I enjoyed some moments! Very campy! Sydney Culbertson is fabulous in this role! The differences between her demon form and human form are fantastic. I wish there were more creative camera shots and not so many wide shots in scenes that already felt very long! But I had fun watching this overall !

Not scary, not funny, not entertaining, not even good in the campy bad way. Extremely cringe dialogue. Watch The Love Witch instead.

This is just another low budget demon succubus movie. I can't recommend anyone watching it. Low budget 80's movies destroy this modern mess. This looks like a made for TV horror movie.

a Future Cult Classic Sarcastic commentary on life in LA permeates the campy horror of the rampaging demoness, who inflicts terror as she auditions to join Lucifer in future large scale mayhem. an exciting movie to watch. Don't miss the ending segment part way through the credits.

The Demoness is a solid example of why independent horror continues to matter. Completing and releasing a feature film on a micro-budget is a milestone in itself, and that accomplishment is evident throughout the film. It’s clear this project was driven by passion for the genre and a commitment to seeing the story through. The plot is intentionally simple, but that simplicity works in its favor. Rather than overreaching, the film stays focused and coherent, allowing atmosphere and pacing to carry the experience. For indie horror, restraint is often a strength. From a technical standpoint, The Demoness is shot well for its budget level. Thoughtful framing, controlled lighting, and an emphasis on mood help elevate the material beyond its constraints. While it doesn’t reinvent the genre, it delivers an earnest, confident horror entry. Fans who support independent horror will appreciate the effort and perseverance behind this release. It stands as a worthwhile indie horror achievement.
